Curriculum Intent
At Seathorne Primary Academy, we believe that everyone should be valued, respected, and supported to fulfil their potential.
Our Seathorne Values have been carefully chosen to underpin all aspects of school life. They enable our pupils to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens, and effective contributors; equipping them with the skills they need for their future and for the wider world they are part of.

These values are woven throughout our curriculum, which has been thoughtfully designed to meet the contextual needs of all our pupils, regardless of their starting point or background.
We view curriculum design as an evolving and responsive process. It takes into account the needs and character of our children and families; pupils’ prior learning; their experiences and opportunities; the community in which our school sits; the statutory requirements of the National Curriculum; and current educational research that is relevant to our setting. Through this, we have created a curriculum that focuses on what truly matters to our children—helping them know more, remember more, and ultimately achieve more.
As part of the Greenwood Academies Trust, we benefit from being part of a wider professional community. Curriculum Leaders collaborate to share best practice, develop ideas, and provide constructive challenge across the academies.
